Who can see the notes?

Only people who were invited to the meeting. Access is enforced at the database with row-level security — signing in shows you your meetings and no one else's.

What languages are supported?

Transcription is multilingual and handles code-switching — English, Mandarin and Malay inside one sentence, without you selecting a language first. Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Filipino and others work too.

No. There are no seats and no subscription. You buy credits and spend them on meeting-hours captured, so adding colleagues costs nothing — only meeting more does.

What if the notes are wrong, or the meeting never gets captured?

A meeting only costs credits once its summary is delivered. If the bot cannot join, the meeting is abandoned, or no summary is produced, you are not charged. Every set of minutes also carries a confidence score and a “needs review” list flagging the lines worth checking, so you can see how much to trust them before relying on them.

A credit is the unit you spend. Capturing a meeting (record, transcribe, summarize) costs 1 credit per hour of meeting, rounded up — a 45-minute call is 1 credit, 90 minutes is 2. A meeting only ever costs credits once its summary is generated; a meeting that never finishes costs nothing.

Where is my data stored?

Recordings, transcripts, and notes are stored in your Meet3 account and delivered in the portal. Nothing is shared outside the invited attendees.

This one is current as of July 2026, covers Otter, Fireflies, Fathom, tl;dv, Notta and Meet3, and includes the number that actually matters: what you pay per hour of meeting captured. Two traps hide in the fine print. First, the annual/monthly gap is large — Otter Pro doubles from $8.33 to $16.99 if you won’t commit for a year, and tl;dv Business jumps from ~$59 to $98. Second, several “paid” tiers still have meters: Otter Pro stops at 1,200 minutes a month, Notta Pro at 1,800, and Fireflies gates its summaries behind an AI-credit system even on paid seats. A seat price is not the whole price.

Cost per captured meeting-hour: three team profiles

Seat prices don’t compare cleanly because usage varies wildly, so divide instead: monthly bill ÷ meeting-hours actually captured. We’ll use Notta Pro at $8.17 (the cheapest annual seat above), Fireflies Business at $19, and Meet3 at $0.73/hr.

The pattern is mechanical. Per-seat cost per hour is just seats × price ÷ hours, so it explodes when many people meet rarely and collapses when few people meet constantly. The 25-person firm pays Fireflies $47.50 for every hour of notes it gets; the two consultants pay Notta eleven cents. Meet3 is a flat line at $0.73 either way — dramatically cheaper for the first team, several times more expensive for the consultants. Where each tool honestly wins

Fathom has the best free tier for an English-only solo user or tiny team — unlimited recording, with only the AI summaries capped. Otter and Notta are the cheapest committed annual seats and fine if your minutes fit their meters; Notta also markets 58 languages, though that means one language per setting, not mixed speech. Fireflies earns its price in integration breadth across CRMs and dialers. tl;dv is built for sales teams that want coaching and clip-sharing — that’s what the $59 Business seat buys. Meet3 wins when meetings are on Microsoft Teams, usage is uneven across the org, or the meetings themselves switch between English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia or Filipino mid-sentence — the case we cover in the Singlish and Manglish transcription post. How to run the comparison for your own team

Pull last month’s calendar and count the meeting-hours you’d actually want captured — not scheduled hours, captured ones. Divide each vendor’s real monthly bill (seats you’d license, annual rate if you’d commit) by that number. If the per-seat result lands under about $0.73/hr, a subscription is genuinely your cheapest option; above it, credits are.
